These terms describe your use of the ReadSpry reading service. ReadSpry is the service's brand name. Questions can be sent to brianvthorp@gmail.com.

The service

ReadSpry displays words from text-based, DRM-free EPUB, PDF, and MOBI files at a speed you choose. Compatibility and extraction quality vary by file. Scanned documents may not contain readable text. No particular reading speed, learning result, or comprehension improvement is guaranteed. You retain ownership of your books and must have permission to use them.

Your account

Provide accurate account information and keep access to your sign-in method secure. Do not share accounts, bypass subscription controls, disrupt the service, or use it unlawfully. You must be legally able to agree to these terms, or have permission from a parent or guardian, and be at least 13.

Trial and recurring subscription

Your first eligible subscription starts with 3 days free. A payment card is required. The trial starts when checkout is completed. Unless you cancel before it ends, the subscription automatically charges $9.99 USD per month, plus applicable tax, and renews monthly until canceled. Your account shows the next billing date. Tax and any checkout currency conversion are shown before confirmation. One free trial is available per account.

Stripe's Managed Payments service handles the sale and payment collection through Link. The merchant-of-record terms shown at checkout also apply to the transaction. ReadSpry provides the reader and product support.

Cancellation and refunds

Open Account & billing, choose Manage billing, then Cancel subscription and complete confirmation. Cancellation stops future renewal; access normally continues until the end of the current trial or paid period. Signing out, closing the browser, or deleting local book files does not cancel billing.

Request a full refund within 3 days (72 hours) after a subscription charge, including the first charge after the trial. See the cancellation and refund policy for details. Mandatory consumer rights and the payment provider's applicable policies remain unaffected.

Payment problems and service availability

Access requires an active trial or paid subscription. Access may be paused when payment fails or a subscription expires; you can update payment information through Manage billing. Internet access is needed to verify membership. Maintenance, provider outages, or file limitations may interrupt use.

We may restrict misuse or stop providing the service. For material service or price changes, we will provide notice where required and explain available cancellation options. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
