ReadSpry is a browser-based reading service. This policy explains the information used to provide accounts, subscriptions, and the reader.
Your books
Book files are opened and processed in your browser. ReadSpry does not upload or store their contents on its servers. Keep your original files: ReadSpry is not a backup service.
Account and billing information
Clerk provides sign-in and account security. Account information can include your email, profile details, sign-in provider, and security/session information. ReadSpry uses an account identifier, Stripe customer identifier, subscription status, trial history, and billing event identifiers to manage access and prevent repeated free trials.
Stripe and Link handle checkout and payment details, including billing contact information, card details, receipts, fraud checks, and tax information. ReadSpry does not store full card numbers or security codes. We may see billing records and limited payment details in Stripe's dashboard.
Service providers and technical information
Cloudflare hosts the service and processes requests, which can include IP addresses, browser information, and security or diagnostic logs. Clerk and Stripe use cookies or similar technologies for authentication, payment, and fraud prevention. Google Fonts supplies website fonts and receives requests from your browser. We do not use book contents for advertising, and the current reader has no advertising trackers.
These providers may process information outside your country. Read their policies: Clerk, Stripe, Cloudflare, and Google.
Use, sharing, and retention
We use information to provide the service, secure accounts, manage subscriptions, respond to support requests, and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. We share information with the providers needed for those purposes, or when required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
Account and subscription records are retained while needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and meet legal or financial obligations. Retention differs by record type and provider. Deleting an account does not automatically erase records Stripe must retain.
Your choices
Manage your profile from the account menu and billing from Account & billing. To request access, correction, or deletion of your information, email brianvthorp@gmail.com. We may verify ownership before acting. Rights and exceptions depend on your location. Cancel your subscription before requesting account deletion to avoid unintended renewals.
ReadSpry is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has supplied personal information, contact us.
